Year by year, business schools are getting more in demand allowing students to seek admission for higher level of management courses.  Every country has top level business schools that prepare students to understand and stand out in the business world.

These business schools backed by state government are equipped with high-end study facilities which allow students the true level of entrepreneurship. Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is extremely popular and is considered to be the stepping stone in the career.

Ranking is done through research and months of surveys that are conducted across each country. Be it in India, UK, USA or any other country, surveys are conducted to know the level of the B-School. The response from institutes, companies hiring students from institutes and alumni are tabulated to come up with the list. Moreover, the companies that recruits students from these institutes with packages are also taken into consideration.

This month long survey and research help students to consider pursuing MBA in any of these top business schools in world. Besides scoring, comparison is also being done between institutes regarding their standing from previous years.

Among all institutes around the world, 3 universities i.e. Harvard University, Stanford University and University of Pennsylvania have managed to remain on top of the business school list. The major boost that gives these institutes the top place is the skills and knowledge which is an important takeaway for students.

In Indian Institutes, IIM Ahmedabad has managed to retain its spot in top 10. Meanwhile, Indian School of Business and IIM Calcutta has dropped to top 20. Though these institutes have been the ladder for students to turn into entrepreneur and also get into the highest package work with top companies.


1) Stanford Business School
Come under the administration of Stanford University, this is the best school in US. This business school has been ranked 2nd by Financial Times in both 2013 and 2014. It acts as feeder program for employment program to consultancies like- Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey. Moreover MBA graduates from Stanford University are picked by big giants including Google and Apple.

This business school comes under Columbia University and is in Manhattan, New York City. In 2013, this business school was ranked 5th by Financial Times and is well known for its cutting edge MBA curriculum that is designed keeping industry practice.

Columbia Business School offers Executive MBA and Non-Degree Executive programs. Each of these Full-Time MBA program is designed to prepare students for management environment.

Columbia Business School offers partial tuition funding for both domestic and international students. Columbia Business School sends financial aid packages in April for August-entry students and October for January-entry students and continues on a rolling basis until orientation. 4) IIM Ahmedabad

5) University of Pennsylvania

According to Forbes ranking, the university stands in 11th position worldwide and 13th by QS World University Ranking. Having its campus in Philadelphia, US, it has a strategic alliance with INSEAD in France and Singapore. The institute has a reputation for being selective, and for as per reports only 13% of Wharton MBA applicants have enrolled for 2014 class.

The MBA programs offered by university are: Marketing and Operations Management (Joint Major), Marketing Management Major and Non Major. The Non-Major course is designed for non-MBA candidates who wish to take Marketing Department course.

6) Hong Kong UST Business School

This business school is a part of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. 7) Said Business School

This business school comes under University of Oxford, England. It is the learning centre of degree and PG course in business and management. In 2013, the full time MBA offered by this school ranked 24th but in 2014 it was raised by one level to 23rd position by Financial Times. It is believed that getting admission in SBS is quite competitive.

Said Business School offers MBA courses which are connected to Oxford University. 9) Tuck School of Business

This league business school is located in US and is being ranked 1st international among full-time business programs in both 2012 and 2013 by The Economist. The business school offers one degree, MBA along with other shorter programs.

Tuck School of Business offers only one degree, which is a 2yrs old MBA. Students have to undergo 32-week core First-year MBA students at Tuck undertake a rigorous 32-week and a specialized First Year Project.
